Alec Beattie & Max Scratchmann invite you to a night of storytelling celebrating the lives of inspirational people and combining an exciting bill of professional storytellers with open mic time to allow members of the community to share their personal stories.
Max Scratchmann will tell the very moving story of his grandparents
and their forced exodus from Armenia during the 1915 Turkish pograms and
their subsequent trek across the desert to India; while Alec Beattie
will talk about his experiences as a nurse when he learned about the
multiple facets of the dying process and the extraordinary people that
it involved; and, finally, Kevin McClean will tell the story of his
mother and her untimely death in prose and verse.
Five
and ten minute open mic slots are also available and if you'd like to
share the story of a loved one no longer with us please contact Max
Scratchmann at max.scratchmann@btinternet.com to book a space.
